The Obama Administration has finally released their top cash for clunkers car list, with some (not) surprising cars on the list. Here are the top 10 purchased cars under the government’s new welfare, wealth transfer system. The list is below the fold:
1. Ford Focus
2. Honda Civic
3. Toyota Corolla
4. Toyota Prius
5. Ford Escape
6. Toyota Camry
7. Dodge Caliber
8. Hyundai Elantra
9. Honda Fit
10. Chevy Cobalt
It’s interesting to note that 6 of the 10 are Japanese/Korean cars and GM only has 1 car on the list.
However, the administration is balking at releasing vital information that may factor into whether we get more money in the cash for foreign cars for clunkers program. Remember during the campaign when Obama promised the most ethical and transparent administration ever? Yeah, he fooled you on that promise too. The real problem here is that the White House is pushing for more funding for the Cash for Clunkers program, apparently another $2 billion dollars. However, they are withholding key facts that could help lawmakers decide whether this is necessary or not.
